What are your translation language skills?

Do I really need to have two separate Mandarin Chinese translations?
There are two different forms of written Chinese - Simplified Mandarin and Traditional
Mandarin. Simplified is used by people in China and Singapore. Traditional Mandarin
is used by people in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Chinese speakers living abroad use
one or the other. If you want business from all these markets, then yes, you should
have two translations.

Do you use any translation software?
No. We believe that humans do it better. Software can only translate words. Humans
translate sentences, sentiments, and correct cultural meanings.

Do you use freelance translators?
We have in-house translators but when are resources are stretched we have a pool
of many freelance translators that are tried and tested.

What kind of 'experts' do you use to consult with?
We prefer to use academics in your translation's field because often these people
have an excellent capacity for both the source language and the target language.

How much do your translation services cost?
The total cost depends on the difficulty of your translation (i.e. how specialized,
technical, etc. it is), the quality you require (i.e. the amount of editing and
proofreading needed), the nature of your project (document, website, software,
etc) and the time frame you need the project completed in. Contact
us for a quote.

How long will my translation take?
We ask you when you need the translation completed by and then work out a schedule
for your project. The time we need depends on the difficulty of your project and
our current workload.
Do you edit/proofread your translation?
Yes. The extent of our editing and proofreading depends on the difficulty of your
translation and the time frame we agreed on. Obviously, when we take on a difficult
translation, we demand enough time to carry out the very important edit and proofreading
stage.
