In the past we have provided audio translation services for clients. These projects were part of software translation solutions. Although we do not specialize in audio translation, we are able to use the services of professional speakers for the projects.

When we have done audio translation, we have focused on providing a solution that has been aimed at catering for the target user. For example, suppose you required translation of an interactive brochure for your company that offers a Chinese version. The following is an illustration of the kind of process You and GCT would go through to make sure your finished product is tailored to your intended viewers:

• GCT: Which Chinese markets are you targeting?
• You: We are interested in Mainland China.
• GCT: In that case all written Chinese will need to be in Simplified Chinese. The audio translation would require a speaker with a Mainland Chinese accent.
• You: Aren't there a number of regional accents in Mainland China?
• GCT: Yes. We would recommend the speaker has a Shanghai accent as this is often less thick than accents from other areas such as Beijing.
• GCT: What is your brochure about?
• You: Our company products. We produce make up.
• GCT: Then of course you would require a female speaker.

It is important that your audio translation is carefully planned to cater for your target audiance in your targeted country or region.
